Danny (Daike) Chao
Daike Chao began learning the erhu at the age of 8 and started performing on stage in the same year.
At 11, he began interning with a professional Chinese folk music troupe, where he worked in performance management and taught the erhu. His students range in age from 5 to over 80.
Known as the “Erhu Boy” for growing up on stage with frequent performances, Daike has accumulated extensive experience in folk music education and performance. The works he created with his team have won multiple prestigious national arts awards and received support from China’s National Arts Fund.
He has also collaborated with American entertainment companies, leading his team on performance tours across schools and cities in the U.S. and Canada.
